SP and SP-E plaster systems are primarily intended for new buildings, but also for renovation projects, where necessary changes must be made to lintels. It is important to plan the use of this type of solution, as well as its installation, at the building design stage, which allows its functional values to be used more effectively. SP and SP-E systems provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, as they do not affect the construction of windows, doors, or lintels, without affecting the energy balance. In addition, these products integrate perfectly into the building's facade, becoming an integral part of it. The front of the box also provides a base for any finishing material (e.g., plaster), thanks to which the box remains an imperceptible element of the building's facade. The construction elements, i.e., the inspection hatch and side channels, can be matched to the color of the windows. As with adaptive systems, the shutter curtain can be made of extruded, plastic, or foam-filled slats.
The SP and SP-E systems were developed to provide protection against heat loss while also offering an attractive finish for the façade. Above all, correct assembly allows everyone to use a window that meets the requirements of the Passive House Institute: the window's heat transfer coefficient (Uw) is less than 0.80 W/(m²K), while the glass's Ug coefficient does not exceed 0.70 W/(m²K).
